Joyleen Nowrot

Welfare Officer and Counsellor

Reaching out for support is a brave step. I am here to listen without judgement and collaboratively explore strategies to manage obstacles getting in the way of you achieving your goals. I have extensive industry experience in human services and have a strong desire to support people with issues needing counselling and case management. I have worked with clients experiencing diverse and complex needs, including those who have had contact with the criminal justice system, experienced substance use, mental health and emotional concerns.

My principles are in line with a person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. I am passionate about helping people develop their potential and taking steps towards personal growth and recovery. What I bring is excellence in holistic and collaborative care planning. My skills facilitate the integral function of maximising opportunities for change, promoting self-efficacy and hope for the future.

In line with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) practice standards, I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) for counselling and welfare support. I am determined to provide you with the best possible service within my scope of practice with PsychOrium.
